1. Which personal data Krib collects and uses

Personal data is all data that can identify you directly or in combination with other data. We collect personal data:

• that you provide to us when using our website and services;
• personal data that we collect automatically;
• personal data that we collect through other sources.

Personal data that you provide to us or that we collect automatically

The personal data we collect includes:

• Contact details and data about assignments and services, such as (company) name, address, (mobile) phone number, email address, specialization and other personal data that you voluntarily provide to us when you contact us or communicate with us. Krib also collects personal data from clients who place an assignment and from contractors insofar as this data is necessary to make a 'match' with a potential client. Think of data such as profession and information about activities and products and services;

• Account details, such as username and password when you create an account with Krib;

• Transaction and financial data, such as invoices, financial data necessary for billing, invitations for assignments to contractors and proposals from contractors on assignments from clients;

• Communication data, such as communication between client and contractor via Krib, participation in surveys or communication with Krib, for example when you contact our customer service or ask us a question, give feedback or submit a request;

• Reviews and comments posted by users of Krib;
• Automatically collected data, such as your IP address, browser type and operating system, application version and geographical location. We also collect and generate data based on your use of Krib, such as the pages you have visited, the pages you visit before and after your visit to Mijn Verkoopmakelaar, the search terms you use, how often you use Mijn Verkoopmakelaar and whether you are interested in using Krib more often. We collect this data by placing cookies. For more information about the cookies we use, we refer you to our cookie statement.

• Social media login: to improve your user convenience on our website, we offer the possibility to log in via your Google or LinkedIn account. If you choose to do so, you authorize us to retrieve personal data such as your name, email address and external identification number. We may store this information for use as stated in this statement and it may be used to validate usage data for social media login. The use of information collected by Google and Facebook falls under the policy of the respective parties and our use of this information falls under this privacy statement.
  

You can determine which data you provide to us. In some cases, however, it may be that we can only fulfill a request if we receive more data from you, for example additional financial data. We use external sources to collect certain personal data. For example the Chamber of Commerce to collect company data from contractors or external sources from which we can derive whether there is a VAT exemption.

2. How Krib uses personal data

Krib uses your personal data for the following purposes:

• Offering our services we process your personal data so that we can offer you our services. The purpose of our services is to connect clients with contractors for carrying out assignments, partly based on interests and/or reviews. Our legal basis for this is the performance of the agreement we have with you;

• Identification and authorization we process your personal data to verify your identity and give you access to our services. Our legal basis for this is the performance of the agreement we have with you and to comply with our legal obligation to take appropriate security measures to protect the data we process;

• Improving our website and services we analyze information about the way you use our website and services in order to improve the user experience for all website visitors. This information contains both research data and statistics. It is our legitimate business interest to analyze this information, for example to solve problems with our website;

• Customizing your experience we use your personal data to provide you with a personal experience with our services. We do this by offering you, for example, interactive or personalized elements that are tailored to your interests. It is our legitimate business interest to offer you a service that matches your interests as much as possible;

• Communication we use your personal data to be able to communicate with you when you contact our customer service, send us an email or request us to exercise a right. We also use your personal data to contact you when we want to inform you about changes in our services or general terms and conditions. For example when you post a review about a contractor, where it may be that we – possibly at the request of a contractor – adjust or remove a review if we consider it not relevant, offensive or otherwise inappropriate. It is our legitimate business interest to offer our users the possibility to write and post reviews and, if we deem it necessary, to adjust or remove the reviews;

• Marketing we use your personal data to send you personalized marketing messages with information about our activities, products and services and promotional actions that we consider relevant for you. It is our legitimate business interest that we, or carefully selected organizations on our behalf, send you relevant and interesting messages. If necessary, we will first ask for your permission before we send you the messages;

Krib only shares personal data with third parties that Mijn Verkoopmakelaar trusts. These are our:

• Professional advisors we share your personal data with our professional advisors insofar as this is necessary. For example with our lawyers when we need legal advice.

We will not provide your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes without your prior consent.

4. How Krib transfers personal data internationally Krib may provide your personal data to third parties that are established in countries outside the EU. Recipients of your personal data may be established in countries where legislation offers less protection to personal data than the EU. We will only provide your personal data to third parties that treat your personal data confidentially and provide appropriate protection in line with European standards, so that the personal data is appropriately protected (for example by entering into EU Model Contracts for the international transfer of personal data as approved by the European Commission).

5. How Krib secures and stores personal data Krib has implemented physical, technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data.

These measures are aimed at providing continuous integrity and confidentiality of your personal data. For example by only giving authorized employees access to personal data. We evaluate and update our security measures on a regular basis. However, no information system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal data.

We retain your personal data as long as we have a relationship with you, unless a shorter retention period applies by law or the data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which the data was collected. After termination of our relationship with you, we will retain your personal data for a period that enables us to:

If you want to view or modify your data you can do this by logging into your account and visiting the profile data page.

To protect your privacy and the security and confidentiality of your personal data, we ask you to send a copy of a valid identity document with your request, where only your name is visible and you have made all other data illegible.

We strive to handle your questions and complaints as well as possible. If you believe that we have not been able to help you with your complaint, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
